We were fortunate this year to have interest and the ability to accommodate New Ross Consolidated in our school sailing program! Here are some photos from the Grade 8's and 9's! We welcomed our second class of Grade 9's from Bayview today. They were pro's having attended the program last year and we hope to see some of them back for our after-school program! We welcomed our first class of Grade 9's from Bayview on Monday, May 26. It was cold and a bit wet, but everyone had lots of fun! Here are the photos from our second class of Grade 8's from Bayview Community School! We had our second group of Grade 5's today (photos from May 21 will come shortly), and though the wind was light all morning, there was enough in the end to get some true sailing in. We hope everyone had fun! Today we welcomed our first class of the 2014 Sail All school sailing program! While the weather didn't look like it was going to co-operate, the fog lifted and the rain held off, and the wind was perfect for learning. This class was here last year, so were well-prepared for their day on the water. We hope everyone had fun! Check out the photos below! Last week Breugh and Claire traveled to Bayview Community School, Bluenose Academy, and our newest participant in Sail All, New Ross Consolidated School, to introduce the students to sailing prior to their sailing day.
The presentations went well and we were excited by the enthusiasm of the students! Photos of the New Ross presentations can be seen here, courtesy of New Ross teacher Peter Millett's blog! Sail All 2014 is all ready, and we have lots of exciting news!
